It's difficult not to believe something fishy is happening at this branch. Charged 500+ for a one-inch light scratch to a door on collection (no communication from Colin, the guy picking it up). No ownership over who controls the charges (branch blames HQ, HQ blames the branch). Defensive, surly staff refusing to take responsibility. Comfortably the worst, most unprofessional and dodgy car rental I've used anywhere. Europcar HQ were helpful eventually, but something nefarious is afoot here. Avoid it.
Usually used Thrifty who are excellent but on this occasion more expensive than Europcar quote. Pick up and car all fine, informed could drop car back on the Saturday afternoon and drop keys in after hours box. However, we were invoiced and subsequently charged for the additional 3 days until. Called the office up to raise this, told would be rectified and contacted. This was a week ago. Still having to chase them. Won't be using again.

Car: small but completely functional, clean, well-tuned. Service from staff: excellent. Pricing: reasonable. Speed of pick-up: very fast. Location: the location required a 10 minute walk from a bus stop. It is in an industrial park and the signs are fairly small. Note: no parking available if for some reason you drive you own car there.
