Parking is an absolute disgrace. 35 mins of driving around ...... yet again. Had to drop my 86 year old mother off to make her own way to an appointment.
Why is the parking so poor, so expensive, driving around and around trying to find somewhere to park,. parking spots to narrow for cars ,no walking areas for visitors.Why not built a light weight modern multi storey parking solution above the car park you have with all the millions of pounds you are making from us.
Nice, clean, bright warm hospital. Lovely caring staff. Shame it took 9 hours to take bloods and an xray of my wife who is on chemo and tries to minimise time in contact with people and in hospitals.
Be careful on the African doctor with string accent and influential English who doesnt know anything (no racism but he keeps his name card partially hidden, so I can only describe the some basic features). He will keep you waiting for 2 rounds, 2.5 hours but finally told you to go to another hospital. (Basically on the first round he told me they cant help BUT someone else will come to help, but the next round he didnt tell me anything else at all, almost the same thing you need to go to another hospital as 2 hospitals have only one eye doctor, though hes defiantly lying). So unprofessional.
Had appointment at One Stop Breast Clinic. Was given this two weeks after GP referral. On arrival for a 1.30pm appointment I was called in bang on time. I was seen by a Consultant who took me through my questionnaire I had completed prior to my appointment. She then gave me a breast ultrasound and gave me a reassuring explanation of what she felt was my diagnosis. She then sent me down to radiology for a mammogram. I only had about a 10 minute wait for this after which I had to wait for a doctor to review the results. Again after about 10 minutes I was called by a nurse who informed me all was well and I could go. I was all done, given a diagnosis and out within an hour of arrival. An excellent service.
