Dan was super with my boys on the two visits and walked us all through all the options available. Two lovely bikes received all ready for Christmas.

Went to get measured for saddle width. Sales guy moaned about my trousers being dirty until I said they were waterproofs and would take them off before sitting on his seat measure pad which I was going to do anyway and then when I said I didn't want to buy a saddle immediately he said why not. I said I wanted to look at other options before making a decision and planned to buy one in a weeks time, he stormed off out of sight to back of shop and said " Oh you are only looking ". He made it clear he was not happy that I had wasted 30s of his time. This made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome and made the store seem far too desperate for a sale. I will not return or recommend this place. Far too desperate.

I had a TERRIBLE experience with CycleWorks, via their Ebay shop. I bought some S Works shoes from them, and stayed in for the 2 days they were meant to be arriving. No shoes arrived. I checked the tracking and saw that the package was marked as 'rejected' and had been returned to CycleWorks, so sent Simon at CycleWorks a message seeing what was going on. He said they had been rejected and I would need to pay 11 to have them re-sent. I'd already paid 8. We went back and forth for a while. I decided to contact UPS, who said the package was with SHUTL and to contact them. They said they could resend the package free of charge - I just needed to get the sender to authorise this. So I called Simon. He was instantly rude and unhelpful and said "how do I know you've not got the shoes already" (???) and refused to authorise the shoes to be resent. He then said he "might consider refunding me" when he got the shoes back. Might! At this point I realised he was threatening to keep my money AND the shoes, and told him this was unacceptable and that he should just resend the shoes so we could go our separate ways. He hung up on me. 2 days later I'd received neither shoes nor refund and saw that the shoes had in fact been returned to Simon 2 days earlier. So he'd obviously decided not to reimburse me. I contacted Ebay and spoke with a very helpful guy who confirmed I was in the right, and that he would get my money back. Which he did. So the whole experience cost me nothing....other than a massive amount of time and unnecessary messing about. Very odd way to run a business. Maybe he's bitter about something and it's affecting his judgement...who can say....maybe try mediation? Primal scream therapy? Sushi classes?

Excellent service! I bought my bike there 2 years ago and wouldn't take it anywhere else. They always provide me with practical and honest advice. Other bike shops in the area could learn a thing or two from their professionalism and level of customer service.

I was served by an incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, friendly and very young teenager. I only bought a chain and a cassette but he kindly explained to me how a 'Chain checker' can save me money in the future so I bought that too! Yes they are more expensive than online giants but they are there to help and make you enjoy your riding experience by offering top service and support. That young man is a credit to the shop just so passionate about all things bikes, very knowledgeable too. I am impressed... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
