I viewed some properties with Emmy Hills at Townends. Her enthusiasm and talent in this field were evident in our dealings - Emmy thoroughly and carefully considered my search criteria and was able to advise me against certain unsuitable properties which I had intended to view - she did show them to me, and indeed I found them to be unsuitable for my requirements. Had I taken Emmys advice I would have saved some time and been able to focus properly on my search. Emmy has been very helpful in this process and I wish her every success in her work, thank you Emmy!
Townends have been a pain to work with since day one. The biggest issue Ive had is that I share a house with 5 of my friends and we each were given an individual contract saying we each owe 466.67 a month each. Even though I always pay my share on time I always get emails about owing them money because one or two of my flat mates havent paid their share on time. But they should just contact the people who havent paid since Ive met my end of the contract. I asked them why they contacted me and they said that we are all liable even if someone else doesnt pay their rent which seems crazy if Ive met my contract requirements.Furthermore, from day one they were constantly pressuring us every single day regarding the referencing forms and guarantor documents. I get that this is urgent but they could have at least given us a few weeks to complete these documents before emailing and ringing us all the time.Weve also had problems with them saying we have an outstanding balance when in actual fact all of us have paid our rent, which is really disorganised. If you are a student and looking to rent a house, make sure you go for a different company.
From starting to view properties to rent, I have received a fantastic professional service from Christine at Townends Guildford. Christine has provided good observation and really assist in making decision by providing reasonable pros and cons for the available options. Everything has been acted on straightaway. All paperwork has been explained and the process was very professional. She is a great asset for the company.
