Wonderful stay. I was in room 4. Gorgeous view of the town, french windows to the balcony and garden, straight across from the kitchen. The only issues were the lack of storage facilities in the room and parking. I was lucky I was the first driver therw and got the parking space available, otherwise one has to park on the street and pay. The storage space in the room was limited to a side bed chest with four drawers. I stayed the weekend and it was fine. If you stay longer, you might have difficulties. I'd definitely come back.
Unfortunately, my honest response is that it was cold and grotty. The host was friendly enough but the standard in general was poor e.g. kettle could only be used by crawling under the desk to reach the only socket in the room; mouldy peanuts on the bedroom rug and a very large, very cold decaying and dated bathroom. The house also has really poor soundproofing so we could hear conversations from other guests from before sunrise. Apart from the kitchen, the areas we saw need total refurb and the garden areas add to the atmosphere of neglect. Shame because it's in a great location and could be brilliant with TLC applied. Would not stay again; would not recommend. Sorry.
Definitely not to be recommended.We phoned twice to advise our arrival time, both times no answer, just an answering machine.Had difficulty finding exact location, poorly lit from street, no signage at all. More a case of guess which property.When someone eventually answered the door he spoke little or no English. He just told us top of the stairs, room on the left. It was locked & when we told him he went off to try & find the key. After trying several keys he still couldn't unlock the door. He went off again & we could hear him washing the dishes!!! That was all the help we got.We walked out & had start looking for accommodation at 9.30pm on a Sat night.Avoid at all costs!!!!!!
Great value for money and great location
Really basic guest house, in dire need of some TLC. Self serve breakfast.
