Expensive although staff v professional
Usually use onslow village who we loved but they don't do ops or overnight stays so got sent to Epsom Road for urinary stones (?). 3 night's stay 2200 no xray or ultrasound but "FLUSHED" . Couple weeks later back again 1 night stay 1000 and again flushed, no ultrasound or even asked if we were happy to pay for one, that's our insurance gone. Less than a month later happened again so went to Alders. 3 night stay an ultrasound revealed needed an op, total cost 900. No problems since, just lucky we had the money to pay. I cannot say the staff at Epsom Road were anything but lovely but feel like it's all about the money and not the animal. Sorry onslow but because of Epsom road you gave lost our custom.
Always friendly and helpful even when I'm panicking
STUDENT UNSUPERVISED TRAINING GROUND, NO PROFESSIONALS BE WARNED, REAL BAD SERVICE I pay top money for a professional vet to see my kitten but all they seem to have is a different unsupervised student attending to my kitten every time i go there, never a fully qualified specialist. They prescribed eye drops for my kitten which are dangerous for her, luckily i changed my vets in time after becoming suspicious. Therefore i have changed my vets to an independent vet just down the same road called Cape veterinary clinic who are brilliant and i get to see the same vet every time with over 12 years experience. My kittens eyes were in a bad way for 2 weeks due to them giving her the wrong medicine. The new vet gave me a different medicine and she was better in less than a day. The vet that gave the wrong medicine to my kitten looked no older than 22 and she was definately a student and she was not even being supervised and just making up her own mind and giving out eye drops which could have caused my kitten to have severe problems.
We are very happy with the weekend staff at Pet Doctors Guildford. We were a new customer and they took our cat who was not breathing. They saved his life as Charlie had a wrong diagnostic from Companion care in Farnborough. We are grateful and will continue taking our pets with Pet Doctors Guildford.
